CANDLE  SALON 

Our candles are made in our atelier/salon in Amsterdam and Heerhugowaard. Our candles are made in small batches and hand-poured.

Brassica wax is made from the Brassica napus ssp. oleifera plant. This plant is a bright-yellow flowering member of the family Brassicaceae. (mustard or cabbage family), cultivated mainly for its oil-rich seed. It is the perfect candle wax because it burns clean, for a longer time and has great scent retention.

We use both essential and perfume oils. we believe that this gives the perfect scent throw. Our candles are 100% phthalate-free. The combination of the vegetable wax and phthalate-free essential and perfume oil, make Candle Salon candle safe to burn. ​

The wick we use at Candle Salon is a flat braided wick, cored, with an exterior jacket made from pure long strand ring-spun cotton and paper. These wicks offer a reduced afterglow, smoke and soot. ​

Never burn our scented candles for more than 4 hours at the time or less than 1 hour Do not allow the flame to touch the glass On the first burn, always burn for approx. 4 hours to ensure an even melt pool to obtain a perfect burn Ensure the wick upright, above the wax and central before the wax sets Allow your candle to solidify before you re-light Always trim the wick to 5mm before lighting to avoid smoking and damage to the glass Please read our page Product Care for more safety tips.

Candle Salon makes every effort to fulfill your order within 3 business days of the date of your order. Business day means Monday to Friday, except holidays. Please note we do not ship on Sundays. If we will not be able to ship your order within these three days, (e.g: during holidays) we will communicate this on our webpage. Please check our Delivery & Returns page for more info.

Please note that there are many variables that will affect the actual burn time of your candle. Burn time per candle can vary from one model to the other. Our Candle Salon scented candle of 250 grams will burn approx. 50 hours. Our Candle Salon Dinner candle will burn approx. 10 hours. The indicated burning time assumes the correct usage of the candle. On the first burn, always burn for approx. 4 hours to ensure an even melt pool to obtain a perfect burn. Never burn our scented candles for more than 4 hours at the time or less than 1 hour.

There many variables that will affect the scent throw and its reach. We are confident to say that our Candle Salon scented candle of 250 grams will throw enough scent in a room of 40m2. The indicated scent throw assumes the correct usage of the candle. Some people love their candles stronger than others. This is a personal preference.

Here at Candle Salon, we do our utmost best to describe the scents of the candles as clear as possible. However, we can imagine that expectations can vary from the actual product. We will grant you 14 days to judge if your purchase is satisfactory. Within this period you can return the product. You can take a close look (or snif in this case) at the product just like you would do in a shop and test if it lives up to your expectations. If you have your doubts whether you can still change your product then please contact us on contact@CandleSalon.com. If you are not all satisfied with the product, we can also exchange for another candle. Please contact us first to get the return instructions before sending it to us in the original packing and unused. We will refund your money excluding the original delivery costs within 14 days. You will be responsible for the costs of the return shipment.
